The Lord is the Way, M.N.

I came to the United States in order to attend the Full-Time Training in Anaheim from Japan a year ago. Four years ago, I met the Lord through a Christian sister, and my Christian life began. Because I grew up in a typical Japanese family, I had lived without the Lord or fellowship with other believers. Because my brother met the Lord while studying in the U.S.A., became a Christian, and also went to the Full-Time Training, I came to know about this Training through him.

Although my first thought toward the Training wasn't positive, the Lord gave me a chance to participate for a week, so I could experience it first-hand. This experience took away my negative thought. I could experience the Lord personally. Then, I began to have a desire to go to the Training for two years. However, it seemed impossible because it was very hard to get permission from my parents who weren't Christian, and I was afraid that their hearts to the Lord would be made stubborn through this matter. I had lots of struggles. The Lord, however, is so faithful that He led me to the Training.

At that time, I got this verse, “For it is God who operates in you both the willing and the working for His good pleasure (Philippians 2:13).” Though I've had several crises since I met Him, I've experienced that Christ is my way (John 14:6), and through this training, the Lord has given me a heart to love the Lord, the brothers and sisters in Christ, and people in general. I know that my Christian life isn't mine alone, but for His heart's desire also. The Lord is my way, the meaning of my life.
